We exist to publish considered, long-form journalism about remarkable vessels, waters, and the craft of the sea. Where others chase volume, we pursue depth: every feature is researched, written, and edited with the care a subject of this calibre deserves, and judged against the standard of the finest marine and travel writing in the world.
Research and Sourcing
Our writers and editors work from primary sources wherever possible — shipyards, naval architects, marina operators, hotels, restaurants, and the people who live and work on the waters we describe. We name real, verifiable entities throughout: genuine yacht models and builders, real ports and anchorages, real venues and producers. We do not fabricate brands, vessels, establishments, or addresses. Where a specific figure is genuinely known, we cite it; where it is not, we say so rather than invent a number.
The Role of AI Assistance
Auro V Atlas uses artificial intelligence as a drafting and research aid under the supervision of human editors. AI may assist in assembling first drafts, gathering factual context, or generating editorial imagery, but no article is published without human editorial review for accuracy, originality, tone, and craft. Our editors are responsible for the final published work, and every feature is held to the same editorial standard as wholly human-written journalism.
Pieces that have passed full human editorial review are marked with an Editor-Reviewed distinction. These represent our flagship features — reported, fact-checked, and polished to the journal's highest standard.
Originality and Plagiarism
Every article is screened for originality through the Copyscape Premium API before publication. Content that does not meet our originality threshold is held back and reworked until it does. Published features that have passed this scan carry a Protected by Copyscape mark, and our compliance records are available on request. We do not republish syndicated or scraped content.
Fact-Checking
Factual claims — vessel specifications, marina facilities, geographic details, named entities — are checked against official sources, manufacturer data, and authoritative references. Where a factual concern is identified after publication, we flag it transparently rather than silently amend it, and we correct the record openly. Harbour features, in particular, document real ports and carry practical decision-critical information for owners and skippers, verified against each port's official operator.
Editorial Independence
Editorial coverage is never for sale. Advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate relationships — where present — are clearly disclosed and kept strictly separate from editorial decisions. No advertiser or partner influences which subjects we cover, how we cover them, or the verdicts we reach. Our reviews and assessments reflect our honest editorial judgement.
